At Aptimized, we like to stay ahead of the curve so that our clients are never offline. As a certified Google Cloud Platform partner, Aptimized will make sure that the process of migrating to the Cloud is as painless and accurate as it can be. Working closely with your business, Aptimized will develop a strategy to migrate your infrastructure to the Google Cloud Platform, based on your legacy technology and business needs.
Google Cloud Platform Services
The Google Cloud Platform is a cloud environment offering many services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Data Storage, SQL Engine, and Cloud Big Query. It enables companies to move their business infrastructure completely to the Cloud, a global virtual environment which can replace in-house or other costly hosting solutions. Migrating to the Google Cloud Platform often increases reliability, improves security, accelerates speed, and reduces overhead.
Read our blog “Administrating Google Cloud Platform Services,” which details why Aptimized encourages the move to a cloud environment for the best protection and consolidation of your data.
Tactical
“Lift and Shift” Approach
Workloads moved to the Cloud with as little modification as possible
Ideal when pre-existing infrastructure is difficult or impossible to modify
Relatively quick and inexpensive
Will not leverage most capabilities of the Google Cloud Environment.
Strategic
“Move and Improve” Approach
Modifications of current workloads to take full advantage of Google Cloud features
Provides a better result than a tactical approach
Necessary when an app is not currently supported on the Cloud Environment.
Visionary
“Rip and Replace” Approach
Decommissions many of the pre-existing applications and rebuild them natively for the Cloud
Fully utilizes all Google Cloud Platform services
Largest changes to current IT landscape
Large time investment and increased costs
Our team always acts without delay, responds to unforeseen changes, and copes with disruptions such as sudden shifts in regulations. We want to make sure that the migration process is as efficient, feasible, and successful as possible.
As a Google Cloud Platform partner, the Aptimized team knows the inner workings of the environment and will expertly deliver your business the results you need.
Our Approach
The first step of any migration process is an assessment of the current landscape. Our team will evaluate your current workspace and take detailed inventory of all applications and their intercommunication. During this phase, we will ensure that theGoogle Cloud Platformcan fit all of your business needs.
After a catalogue of all business services is created, our team will work to create a detailed plan of how and when each service will be migrated. During this process, we will work to minimize downtime as well as conflicts between the cloud and in-house services. In this phase, Cloud IAM roles will be created, and a basic network topology will be defined.
Through implementing an automated artifact production and deployment process, namely a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, the entire Cloud environment will be manifested automatically. This ensures that the entire deployment process is smooth and secure, and therefore minimizes the time needed to complete the migration.
In this phase, we will begin to take full advantage of what the Google Cloud Platform has to offer. Cloud-exclusive features such as AI and Machine Learning can begin to be integrated into the new infrastructure.
Security is even more vital for cloud operations due to their global nature. Therefore, It is our top priority in any migration. We will work to implement multi-layer redundant security into the cloud system and will ensure maximum reliability of every application layer. Aptimized guarantees you optimal security and protection against potential threats.
Remote Workforce
Fostering a remote workforce has become an essential aspect of any business’s IT landscape. As opportunities that allow work-from-home abilities increase, every organization needs to accommodate remote workforce capabilities. Not just for accessibility needs, remote opportunities enable businesses to find talent beyond physical boundaries. Aptimized works with Google as a certified partner to provide a flexible and reliable solution.
Global Reach
Google’s networks have global reach, allowing for communication between every geographic location of business. Their many endpoints allow for fast and reliable connections.
Google Workspace
Recently, Google rolled out a new integration of many of their services, including Gmail and Drive, called Google Workspace. This constantly updated experience allows for employees to connect to everything they need in one location. Leveraging this technology, we can provide a cohesive and efficient remote workforce solution.

Familiar Interface
Because of Google’s widespread influence on the web, most people are already familiar with how Google services are laid out. This reduces training time and ensures that employees can utilize these new services as quickly as possible. Despite needing some training and adjustment like all new services, Google Workspace’s familiar interface will minimize these requirements.
Google Security
Analytics (Chronicle):
Chronicle is designed to help enterprises analyze and search through the massive amounts of security, network, and telemetry they generate. It is a cloud service built on top of Google that can handle petabytes of information, all with Google search speed. With built-in threat detection, the ability to investigate incidents, and third-party intelligence such as Avast, Virus Total, and Homeland Security, Chronicle provides instant analysis and context on risky activity.
Zero Trust (Beyond Corp):
With so many different cyber threats, today’s organizations need a new way to effectively adapt to the dynamic modern environment. Organizations that follow the Zero Trust model are less likely to become victim of an internal attack, intentional or not. Following the Zero Trust policy helps organizations set policy rules, limiting the amount of access a certain type of user should have. It is based on years of following the best business practices and helps mitigate threats from within your network.
End Point (Anthos):
Companies with complex on-premise or hybrid environments can benefit from Anthos. Anthos provides organizations with centralized monitoring of their infrastructure, policies, and services. Anthos gives organizations a reliable platform for all of their deployments while offering a central view of all environments.
Anthos enables you to run Kubernetes clusters from anywhere, both in the cloud and on-premises. You can define policies to limit unauthorized access in order to meet business requirements
General Security and Networking:
DDoS Protection entails protection against a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack, which can be very damaging if a company isn’t prepared for overwhelming amounts of traffic. DDoS attacks differ from regular denial-of-service attacks in that the traffic comes from many distributed devices rather than one. Hackers use “zombified” devices to create a powerful network of bots which can then attack networks, websites, applications, and anything else attached to the internet. While you can't prevent DDoS attacks from happening, you can certainly optimize your networks and applications to help mitigate the effect of one.
Google DDoS protection is built for anything connected to the Internet, providing you with a large range of security measures. This DDoS protection stops unwanted traffic from flooding your websites, applications, and networks while allowing legitimate traffic to continue as normal.
Google Cloud Load Balancing boosts your server’s performance with the addition of auto-scaling capabilities. See which load balancing solution works for you. There are different options when it comes to seeing which load balancing solution works for you. Aptimized will help you decide in choosing the one that maximizes application performance and availability.
Manageable and Modern Transformations
Modernization
A key aspect of any application transformation is the modernization of legacy applications. This modernization can take many forms, such as a full migration to cloud infrastructure or just the restructuring of in-house processes. Aptimized’s certified professionals are well-suited to work with Google’s tools to discover what the most effective transformation would be as well as to plan and execute this transformation.
Anthos
One of the most powerful tools in an application transformation is Google’s Anthos, an all-in-one management engine which unifies cloud services and on-premises resources. Anthos allows for the building and deployment of apps across all services from any location and promises security in all of its actions. One of Anthos’ most powerful features is its integration with Google Kubernetes Engine, making it easy to transform existing apps into containerized Kubernetes applications, able to run on both in-house and cloud infrastructure.
Kubernetes
Containerization through Kubernetes is an incredibly streamlined and popular process. Containerized services, managed by Kubernetes, are simpler to administer and more cost-effective than traditional services ran on a virtual machine. As part of an application transformation solution, containerization enables the movement of legacy applications to a platform where they can be run on both in-house and cloud infrastructure. Google’s Kubernetes Engine is a cloud-based PaaS option which allows for the remote running of Kubernetes applications in the Google Cloud Environment.
Flexibility
An application transformation must be flexible to meet the needs of any business and the pre-existing services. Solutions powered by Google services offer incredible flexibility, with options to use their management services on bare metal and even with other cloud providers, such as AWS. Aptimized will work with you to develop its application transformation solution, basing decisions on your business needs and efficiency.
Data Analytics and Measurement
Google Analytics is a powerful, easy-to-use service which allows a business to gather and review information about their online presence and customer experience. Google analytics is compatible with many CMSs and website-builder platforms. Using Google Analytics, you will be provided with accurate information that is live which can help inform better business decisions.
User Information
One of the main types of data collected by Google Analytics is information on how the user interacts with a website, such as how many times a page is visited, or how many times a transaction is made. This information is collected into one central hub where it can be analyzed and where decisions can be made. Decisions based on user information can help:
Improve a customer’s online experience
Minimize unnecessary aspects of a website
Discover what a business should be prioritizing
Inform other crucial aspects of a business
Goals
Using any analytical tool, it is vital to set up goals which can guide and monitor progress. While we will work with you to define these goals, knowing exactly what you want to achieve is important for any operation. Are you looking to increase customer flow? Improve SEO? Reduce downtime? These goals need to be based on specific business needs and focused enough to be easily quantified.
Your E-commerce goals need to be centered around a strong SEO strategy with a solid foundation. Find out about The Biggest Threats in the SEO Industry for 2021 in our blog and discover even more Aptimized Insights that will guide your business practices.
Our Process
Because Google Analytics is integrated with many Google products, such as AdSense and Google Sites, it is a straightforward process to collect data from these sources. When working with websites hosted from other CMSs, such as Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress, some modification to these websites is required. We will then work to configure the Analytics workspace and work on more difficult connections, such as E-Commerce data. The time this process takes is largely based on the size of the online presence.
Whether you want to optimize the search engine results for your business or are assessing analytics, Aptimized will make sure that you are able to utilize the most cutting edge tools to implement modern technology solutions for your business to evolve.
